Editorial policy
How articles on this site are researched, drafted with AI and reviewed by a person, how corrections work, and what sponsors can never buy.
Every article here exists to help you make a decision. This page covers what the articles rest on, where AI fits in, who reviews them, how I fix mistakes and how money is kept away from verdicts.
Research standards #
Articles are written in the first person by the person who did the research. “I compared” and “I went through” mean I read the sources, and every non-obvious claim links to one.
- Official pricing pages and docs come first. Community threads and other blogs come last, and a blog is never the only source for a claim.
- Prices, limits and specs carry the date I verified them, and I re-check them at least every 90 days.
- When sources conflict, the article says so and explains which one I trust.
- When I can’t verify something, the article says that too.
I never claim to have used a product, contacted support or seen a dashboard unless it’s a logged check. I never invent quotes, statistics, customers or credentials. The methodology has the full source order and the rules for small-sample checks.
AI assistance and human review #
I use AI tools to help find sources, draft text and fact-check every claim against its live source. They don’t decide verdicts. Anurag Kumar is the editor and is responsible for every number and verdict on this site.
This site opened in November 2026 as a soft launch. The first articles went live after a claim-by-claim check against live sources, but before Anurag’s own editorial read-through. Each of those articles says so in a short note near the top: “Editorial review by Anurag Kumar is in progress.” When the review of an article is finished, that note changes to name him as its reviewer. From then on, new articles are published only after that review.
Each article also carries a short note saying it was researched and drafted with AI tools and fact-checked against live sources.
Corrections #
If you think something here is wrong, please tell me. Readers and vendors use the same process.
Email me with the article link, the claim you think is wrong, and a source that shows the correct information: editor@crawlfolio.com.
I check the claim against the source. If I got it wrong, I fix the article and add a dated correction note saying what changed. A correction is a real change, so the article’s “updated” date moves too.
If a vendor disputes a small-sample check, I re-run the same setup and publish both runs with a dated note.
Conflicts of interest #
Anurag Kumar, who runs this site, doesn’t own, work for or hold shares in any vendor covered here.
If that changes, or if a vendor covered here pays Anurag in any way, every article that mentions that vendor will say so near the top. The disclosure page will say so too.
Sponsorship rules #
The site earns money through affiliate links and labeled sponsored placements. The rules are the same for every vendor:
- Sponsors can’t buy verdicts. No payment buys a verdict, a “best for” pick, a higher ranking, or the removal or softening of criticism.
- Everything paid is labeled. Sponsored slots and posts carry a “Sponsored” label, and every paid
link is marked
rel="sponsored". Affiliate links are markedrel="sponsored nofollow". - No link selling. This site never sells links that pass search ranking credit.
- My byline, my edit. Sponsored posts are written and edited by me, fit the site’s topics and are never ghostwritten by the sponsor.
- No approval rights. A sponsor can point out factual errors about its own product, but it can’t approve, edit or block an article.
The disclosure explains how paid links are labeled, and the advertise page sets out the terms for vendors.
